A calm and composed expression of contemporary residential architecture by award-winning architects Monk Mackenzie. The north-facing boutique development directs living areas towards the captivating harbour views, with five of six apartments enjoying uninterrupted aspects. The intentionally carved façade balances privacy with openness to Jervois Road, inviting light and shadow play to create depth and intrigue.

2(Jervois Apartments)

A considered acknowledgement of context has driven an intriguing architectural response for a boutique development of eight apartments in Herne Bay. Facing north on the ridgeline of Auckland’s most prestigious suburb, the design by Monk Mackenzie provides unobstructed harbour views.

3(The Brickhouse)

This two-storey brick-wrapped courtyard home is a set of two gabled forms on a constrained site. Straddling commercial and residential zoning, with a heritage overlay, the design balances privacy from neighbouring buildings and maximises sun via a northerly courtyard.

4(Hinemoa Street Townhouses)

This three-residence project within a heritage area in Birkenhead Point is an elegant and sympathetic addition to the character of the area. The stand-alone homes, one of which will be a family home for themselves and their three children, take classic gabled forms and appropriate scale from neighbouring properties while crafting a contemporary design.

5(Freemans Bay Apartments)

A new mixed use building containing 21 Apartments and a commercial office, retained by Artifact.

6(Sugar Lane)

Comprising 10 townhouses and two full level apartments over a garage and commercial space, the Sugarland development was an ambitious project that aimed to set a new bar for quality residential living.  Proximity to amenities, within a stones throw to the Birkenhead shops, library and cafes, were as central to the concept of comfortable living as the tailored, light-filled home interiors.

7(City Apartments)

A unique site with unparalleled views down Grafton Gully to Rangitoto and the Hauraki Gulf this small city lot makes the most of an unusual site perched at the edge of the motorway. Comprising two generous apartments with parking underneath, this project set to redefine luxury city living.
